In Bob, Bill finds a strange companion - part mentor, part confessor and part evil twin. SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE
DELUXE EDITIONIt's Christmas Eve and on this particular night radio talk show psychologist Marcia Fieldstone has asked her listening audience what they are wishing and dreaming of during this season of hope. A little boy, Jonah (Ross Malinger), who is tuned in from Seattle calls in his wish, a new wife for his father (Academy Award-Winner Tom Hanks, Philadelphia ) who has been widowed for a year and a half. Meanwhile, all the way across the country, punching buttons on her car radio as she drives from Baltimore to Washington, D.C., Annie Reed (Meg Ryan, Proof of Life) hears Jonah and is immediately captivated by him and his selfless Christmas wish. Like thousands, maybe even millions, of other listeners, Annie is especially moved when Jonah's dad is persuaded to join in the on-air conversation. And when, in his funny, sweet yet sad way, he begins to talk about how much he loved his wife, something extraordinary happens to Annie which she really isn't even aware of at the time. Something she has never experienced in her entire life. Something like...magic. Jonah and his dad are immediately besieged by countless letters from listeners reaching out to help, including thousands of marriage proposals from women across the country. Meanwhile, inspired in equal parts by Jonah's phone call and by classic Hollywood romance, Annie Reed eventually becomes completely convinced that it is her destiny to meet Sam, Jonah's lovely dad. And, as Annie sees it, there are just two minor problems. First, she is presently engaged to marry another man (Bill Pullman, While You Were Sleeping) whom she does love. And, of course, Jonah's dad does not know yet that he and Annie are made for each other.
THE WEDDING PLANNER
Mary Fiore (Lopez) is the wedding planner. She's ambitious, hard-working, extremely organized, and she knows exactly what to do and say to make any wedding a spectacular event. But when Mary falls (literally) for a handsome doctor (McConaughey), her busy yet uncomplicated life is turned upside down - he's the groom in the biggest wedding of her career! Will she help him walk down the aisle with his Internet tycoon girlfriend (Wilson- Sampras), or will Mary finally get to be the bride herself? As this sweet romantic comedy proves, when it comes to love, you can never plan what's going to happen.

PLUCKING THE DAISY
Plucking the Daisy is just one of the two-dozen films of the 1950s that swiftly established Brigitte Bardot as the bold new model of female sexuality in post-war society. In the film, also known as Mademoiselle Striptease, Bardot plays the coquettish daughter of a stuffy French official. Finding herself in Paris at the center of several well-timed misunderstandings, BB's sexual high jinks culminate with an unforgettable performance in a striptease contest. Home Vision Entertainment is proud to present BB fans with this scintillating screwball romp in a stunning new digital transfer! Plucking the Daisy Now Available on DVD!!
THE NIGHT HEAVEN FELL
Two years after she revolutionized the foreign film market by starring in husband Roger Vadim's And God Created Woman, Bardot and Vadim reunited to unleash that seductive persona of the virginal temptress upon rural Spain in The Night Heaven Fell. Fresh from the convent, Ursula (Bardot) becomes embroiled in the bizarre Oedipal rituals being carried out by her Aunt, Uncle and local stud Lamberto (Stephen Boyd). After he kills her lecherous Uncle and sleeps with her sexually deprived Aunt (Alida Valli), Ursula and Lamberto flee to the hills. And that's when things really heat up. Home Vision Entertainment is proud to present this Cinemascope extravaganza in a luminous new transfer enhanced for 16X9 televisions.
DON JUAN
In 1956, Roger Vadim began his feature film career by exposing the public to Brigitte Bardot in And God Created Woman. Both went on to great success -- Bardot as an international sex symbol and Vadim as an acclaimed director of the French Nouvelle Vague. Then, in 1973, the year of "porno-chic" and the Equal Rights Amendment, Vadim saw his last opportunity to re-visit the sexual phenomenon he had a hand in creating. Don Juan (or if Don Juan Were a Woman), is a salacious drama about the sexual exploits and conquests of Jeanne (Bardot) told in flashback. She confesses to her priest and cousin that she has sought a life devouring and destroying men because of a traumatic childhood episode: her father died of a heart attack while admonishing her promiscuous behavior. After Don Juan, BB withdrew from human interaction and vanished from the silver screen committing her life to animal rights.
SPIRITS OF THE DEAD
: Three Tales of the Macabre by Edgar Allan PoeMetzengerstein Directing his then wife and brother-in-law, Jane and Peter Fonda, Roger Vadim adapts this Poe story about a medieval woman who takes a liking to her cousin. When he doesn't respond in kind she sets his stable ablaze. Running into the fiery stable, he sacrifices his life to save his prize horse. However, Jane's character is convinced that this horse now contains some remnant of her cousin's soul -- especially when it tries to kill her. William WilsonLouis Malle directs Brigitte Bardot and Alain Delon: two of the sexiest people of the sixties. Delon plays an Austrian officer confessing to a priest that he has murdered his doppelganger and committed a host of other vicious acts, including the whipping of Brigitte Bardot. The priest is so appalled he cannot offer him any absolution. Left with nothing else to do the officer decides to commit one final act -- upon himself. Never Bet the Devil Your Heador Toby Dammit Fellini's contribution to Spirits of the Dead is a prime example of his consummate skills as a director. Terence Stamp (The limey) plays a drunken rock star/actor who agrees to shoot a Catholic Western in Rome in exchange for a brand new sports car. While shooting he is haunted by the presence of a little girl bouncing a white ball. When the crew wraps the actor attempts to jump his new car over a dilapidated bridge. The mysterious little girl appears just in time to pick up the pieces.
KRISTIN LAVRANSDATTER
This epic love story set in 14th-century Norway is Liv Ullmann's (Sophie) remarkable adaptation of Sigrid Undset's 1928 Nobel Prize-winning novel. Kristin Lavransdatter follows one woman's decision to break with tradition to marry the man she loves rather than the man her father has chosen for her. Torn between her longing for love and her sense of family loyalty, she ventures into a life filled with passion and pain, joy and sorrow. The star of many Ingmar Bergman films (Scenes from a Marriage, Autumn Sonata), director Ullmann collaborates here with cinematographer Sven Nykvist (Cries and Whispers) to create a film as visually entrancing as Bergman's finest. Her insightful exploration of medieval society captures the essence of life throughout the ages. Now, for the first time, the full-length director's cut that had half of Norway in the theaters is available to American audiences.
PRIVATE CONFESSIONS
Written by Ingmar Bergman and directed by his long time friend and leading actress Liv Ullmann, Private Confessions is the continuation of Best Intentions (1992), exploring Bergman's childhood memory of his parents' turbulent marriage. Anna and Henrik, the fictionalized names of Bergman's parents, are again played by Pernilla August and Samuel Fröler. Structured around five conversations shown out of chronological order, Private Confessions is about the isolation and loneliness felt by Anna, the wife of Henrik, an unfeeling Lutheran minister. She begins by confessing to her Uncle Jacob that she is having an adulterous affair with a younger theology student (Thomas Hanzon). Upon his insistence, she informs her husband of the affair. The manner of her confessions and the conversations that continue to unfold revisit a major Bergman theme: the frustration and futility of a passionate soul unable to escape-or even reconcile-the strict moral framework in which it lives. With the intense gloom of Max von Sydow as Uncle Jacob, and the great Sven Nykvist behind the camera, Liv Ullmann continues the Bergman legacy of Love, God and Guilt.
THE ROCKING HORSE WINNER
A young boy finds that he is able to pick winning race horses--but with terrifying results.
VICTIM
A cinematic milestone, Victim was one of the first films to deal seriously and openly with homosexuality. Basil Dearden's (The League of Gentlemen) taut thriller focuses on a bisexual lawyer (Dirk Bogarde, The Servant, The Woman in Question) who risks his marriage and reputation to prosecute a ring of blackmailers that targets gay men. Made when British law still outlawed "homosexual acts," Victim was a risk to the careers of all those involved, but screenwriters Janet Green and John McCormick skillfully avoided both sensationalism and stereotypes. Victim marked a turning point for matinee idol Bogarde, who moved from lightweight to serious, attention-getting roles. Shot on location in London with an impeccable cast, Dearden's stylish film helped forge a new realism in British cinema.
LOUISIANA STORY
Nominated for an Oscar® and the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for its musical score, Robert J. Flaherty's last masterpiece is a visually stunning, lyrical tribute to a land and its people. Known as the 'Father of the Documentary', Flaherty fills every frame of this exquisitely photographed film with his poetic vision of nature and the human spirit. Through the eyes of a young Cajun boy living on the Louisiana Bayou, Flaherty tells a story of disruption and change when an oil rig brings industry into his pristine world. Listed on the National Film Registry as a national treasure, Louisiana Story has finally been restored to its original glory.
