In MEN IN BLACK II, Kay and Jay reunite to provide our best, last and only line of defense against a sinister seductress who levels the toughest challenge yet to the MIB's untarnished mission statement: Protecting the earth from the scum of the universe.

RAY HARRYHAUSEN'S STOP-MOTION CLASSIC MYSTERIOUS ISLAND ARRIVES ON DVD OCT. 29 FROM COLUMBIA TRISTAR HOME ENTERTAINMENT

BASED ON JULES VERNE'S NOVEL FEATURING CHARACTERS FROM "20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA"

Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment will release MYSTERIOUS ISLAND as the next installment of its Ray Harryhausen Signature DVD Collection Oct. 29. The DVD will be priced at $24.95 suggested list.  Considered the sequel to Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, MYSTERIOUS ISLAND pits Civil War POWs against mutant animals created by the crafty Captain Nemo of the submarine Nautilus. When the POWs escape a Confederate prison in a balloon, a raging storm pushes the aircraft to a remote Pacific Island. Along with two shipwrecked women, the soldiers fight gigantic crabs, bees, and other beasts who Nemo has made to increase the island's food supply. But when a volcano on the island erupts, the group must pull together to survive a fiery death.

Legendary special effects wizard Harryhausen developed a number of breakthrough technologies for MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, including new stop-motion effects for its giant bee sequence. The effect is so realistic that fans call it one of Harryhausen's best. In another innovation, he also intercut shots of a live crab in scenes involving moving mandibles to create a realistic and more exciting scene. Longtime Harryhausen collaborator, composer Bernard Herrmann scores MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, which followed a string of hits he made with Alfred Hitchcock, including Vertigo, North by Northwest and Psycho. Herrmann also scored Harryhausen's The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad and Jason and the Argonauts, produced after MYSTERIOUS ISLAND.

The MYSTERIOUS ISLAND DVD will be presented in widescreen and full-frame versions and has been digitally mastered in audio and anamorphic video. The film has also been remastered in high definition.

This wonderful song is sung from the perspective of the enchanted objects, who long to see castle life return to the days when the Beast was human, and features all the original voice talent from the film.

The animation for “Human Again” has been in production for over two years. Disney animators including the legendary animator Glen Keane (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, TARZAN, POCAHONTAS and many more) animated “Human Again” exclusively for the 2002 release of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: SPECIAL EDITION.

Some of the highlights include “Be Our Guest,” the show-stopping spectacular delivered in grand style by Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Cogsworth, a chorus of silverware and dancing plates, and the beautiful Oscar® nominated “Belle.”

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: SPECIAL EDITION features a cast of top vocal talent. Veteran stage actress and singer Paige O’Hara is the voice of Belle, one of Disney’s most beloved and independent heroines, and Robby Benson (“Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed In At the House of Mouse”) delivers a powerful portrayal of The Beast. Acclaimed screen star and four-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury (TV’s “Murder, She Wrote;” “Fantasia 2000”) gives a bubbly performance as Mrs. Potts. Stage and screen star Jerry Orbach (TV’s “Law and Order,” “House of Mouse”) shines as the voice of Lumiere, the passionate candelabra, and David Ogden-Stiers (“Atlantis The Lost Empire”) is hilarious as Cogsworth, the tightly-wound mantel clock who functions as the head of the household.

Set in and around a quaint French village during the late 18th Century, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: SPECIAL EDITION follows the fantastic adventures of Belle, a bright and beautiful young woman who finds escape from her ordinary life, and the advances of a boorish suitor, Gaston, by reading books. Meanwhile, off in a castle in the distance, a cruel young prince is cast under the spell of an enchantress who turns him into a tormented beast, and transforms his servants into animated household objects. In order to remove the curse, the Beast must discover a true love who will return his affection before the last petal falls from an enchanted rose. When Belle’s inventor father stumbles upon the Beast’s castle and is taken prisoner, Belle comes to the rescue and agrees to take her father’s place. ENOUGH-- HARROWING, HIGH-STYLE SUSPENSE THRILLER PREMIERES ON DVD OCTOBER 8TH

Jennifer Lopez delivers an electrifying performance as a battered wife who, in order to protect herself and her daughter, transforms herself into an empowered, confident and self-contained woman in director Michael Apted's (The World is Not Enough) action drama ENOUGH.  The film debuts on DVD and videocassette Oct. 8.

Working-class waitress Slim (Lopez, The Wedding Planner) finds herself transformed when she marries Mitch (Billy Campbell, TV's "Once and Again"), a wealthy contractor.  She settles into an idyllic suburban life and seems to have everything she wants's a loving husband, a beautiful home and Gracie, an adorable 5-year-old daughter.

But her dream is shattered when she discovers her husband is anything but perfect.  His sudden violently abusive behavior, as well as his infidelities, force Slim to take Gracie and go on the run, eluding an increasingly obsessive Mitch and his lethal henchmen.  Just when Slim thought she had successfully started a new life, Mitch reappears and the threats begin all over again.  With nowhere to turn for help, Slim is forced to fight back, engaging Mitch in a physical and psychological battle and showing him that she has had Enough.

ENOUGH marks an electrifying change of pace for Jennifer Lopez as she takes on a role that is at once filled with extreme physical action and features a woman's remarkable internal shift from maximum fear to maximum strength.  Lopez was initiated into the potent fighting form of Krav Maga, considered to be one of the world's most effective and deadly martial arts, which was originally developed by the Israeli military in part to give their women soldiers the ability to defend themselves in even the most excruciating hand-to-hand combat.

ENOUGH: A Columbia Pictures presentation of an Irwin Winkler Production.  Also stars Juliette Lewis, Dan Futterman and Noah Wyle.  Produced by Irwin Winkler and Rob Cowan. Written by Nicholas Kazan.  Directed by Michael Apted.

BILL COSBY AND ROBERT CULP ARE BACK IN ACTION IN I SPY RETURNS

Undercover Agents Robinson and Scott Make Their DVD Debut Oct. 8

Twenty-six years may have passed, but for super-secret agents Kelly Robinson and Alexander Scott the world is just as hilariously dangerous as ever in I SPY RETURNS, which comes to DVD for the first time Oct. 8 from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

The 1994 reunion of two of the world's greatest spies comes about when their grown children become agents themselves. Robinson (Robert Culp of "The Pelican Brief") is a senior government agent while Scott (Bill Cosby of TV's "The Cosby Show") has retired from action. Yet they're both pressed into service, and find themselves in Vienna, as their now-grown children are assigned to protect Russian spies.

The 1965-68 run of "I Spy" proved a groundbreaking TV phenomenon, earning three Emmy awards for its breakout star, Bill Cosby, and four nominations for Culp. Filmed on locations ranging from Hong Kong to Acapulco, the series attracted a large audience with its exotic locales, humorous action and underlying message of racial harmony.

I SPY RETURNS offers fans of the series and lovers of espionage thrillers a chance to enjoy two masters at work, along with co-stars Salli Richardson (TV's "Family Law") and George Newbern ("Father of the Bride"), who play their children.

Tenth Volume in Popular 'Three Stooges' DVD Series Generates Laughs Beginning Oct. 8

When the Three Stooges try to help defend their country during World War II, they are, as the title of their 1940 short puts it, "Boobs in Arms." Their military hijinks stand front and center in THE THREE STOOGES: G.I. STOOGE, coming to DVD from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment on Oct. 8.

It's the tenth DVD compilation of THREE STOOGES shorts from CTHE, and contains six theatrical shorts made by Larry, Curly and Moe just before, during and immediately after the United States' involvement in World War II.

The shorts offered in THREE STOOGES: G.I. STOOGE are:

"Boobs in Arms" (1940) - The troops on both sides are in real trouble when the Stooges are enlisted by a jealous husband who also happens to be a sergeant.

"Back from the Front" (1943) - After merchant mariners Larry, Curly and Moe mistake a torpedo for a whale and cause it to explode, they're castaways - until they board a Nazi warship and make an even bigger mistake.

"G.I. Wanna Go Home" (1946) - The Stooges are discharged, but go from bunkers to bunk beds when they learn they have no home and there are no vacancies anywhere.

"Wee Wee Monsieur" (1938) - In Paris, the Stooges have a hard time making it as artists: no food, no work, no money. Their solution: Join the French Foreign Legion.

"No Dough Boys" (1944) - In makeup, the boys pose as Japanese soldiers for a magazine ad ... and get mistaken for Japanese saboteurs. When they stumble on a German hideout, they decide to stay in undercover and fight the Nazis.

"Dizzy Pilots" (1943) - Nothing goes right when Larry, Curly and Moe try to prove to the military they can fly their airplane.

THE HOLLYWOOD SYSTEM GETS SKEWERED IN THE BIG PICTURE

Kevin Bacon Stars in Christopher Guest's Satire, Coming to DVD on Oct. 8

He's just a film-school student from Ohio, but when Nick Chapman makes it to Hollywood he's in for a new kind of learning in THE BIG PICTURE, debuting on DVD Oct. 8 from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

Included on the DVD of THE BIG PICTURE is an exclusive audio commentary with director Christopher Guest ("Best in Show," "This Is Spinal Tap") and the film's star, Kevin Bacon ("Hollow Man," "Apollo 13"), as well as scenes deleted from the lampoon of show business.

Bacon plays Nick, whose student film wins an award from the prestigious National Film Institute. Almost overnight, Nick finds himself swimming with sharks in Hollywood, where he's seduced by manic agents, power-happy producers and an irresistibly quirky friend played by Jennifer Jason Leigh ("Road to Perdition").

Featuring the sly irreverence that has become director Guest's trademark, THE BIG PICTURE is a funny and insightful cautionary tale about the excesses of greed and power.

THE BIG PICTURE is loaded with surprising and humorous supporting roles and cameo appearances from familiar Hollywood faces, including Michael McKean ("This Is Spinal Tap"), Teri Hatcher ("Tomorrow Never Dies"), Martin Short ("Innerspace"), Fran Drescher (TV's "The Nanny"), Roddy McDowall ("The Planet of the Apes"), John Cleese ("A Fish Called Wanda") and Elliott Gould ("Ocean's 11").

The DVD release of THE BIG PICTURE also provides filmographies and production notes that, combined with the special commentary and deleted scenes, allow an in-depth examination of the film.
