THE HILARIOUS ANTICS OF LARRY, CURLY AND MOE ARE CAPTURED IN THE THREE STOOGES: STOP! LOOK! AND LAUGH DEBUTING ON DVD FEBRUARY 18, 2003

Madcap mayhem and sidesplitting laughter result whenever The Three Stooges interact. On February 18, Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment releases STOP! LOOK! AND LAUGH! a compilation of the funniest and most memorable bits from classic Three Stooges shorts on DVD. The new DVD highlights some of the best and most memorable of Larry, Curly and Moe’s hilarious antics. Legendary and timeless as well as way ahead of their time, the Three Stooges and their movies took slapstick comedy to heights that remain in memory more than a half-century later. Their fluid chemistry and uncanny sense of timing make their routines provoke laughter no matter how many times they are viewed.

Their innate aptitudes for childish antics make for comedy that is simultaneously idiotic and brilliant. It is because of that special knack for comedy that the Three Stooges have made and continue to make audiences laugh. " Stop! Look! And Laugh!" is no exception. The new release includes the bonus short film "A Bird in the Head" featuring the Three Stooges as paperhangers working in the home of a mad scientist. When the scientist seeks a small brain for his experiment on a gorilla, he naturally turns to Curly as the perfect donor. The result is a brilliantly funny lesson in survival of the fittest. Producer-director Jules White has edited together the best from the fractious trio's shorts with an introduction by famous ventriloquist Paul Winchell and his dummy Jerry Mahoney. The classic clips include scenes from "A Plumbing We Will Go," "Higher Than a Kite," and "Cinderella."

Selected scenes offered in STOP! LOOK! AND LAUGH! are excerpts from:

SANFORD & SON: THE SECOND SEASON THREE-DISC BOXED SET COMES TO DVD ON FEBRUARY 4, 2003

SANFORD & SON: THE SECOND SEASON makes its DVD debut on Feb. 4 in a three-disc boxed set from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment. Now, audiences can experience the unique Golden Globe winner Redd Foxx who spent five seasons chronicling the misadventures of cantankerous junk dealer Fred Sanford (Foxx), his nonplused son Lamont (Demond Wilson) and the residents who lived near 9114 South Central in Los Angeles. The new three-disc DVD boxed set includes 24 episodes from the comedy’s second season on TV.

SANFORD AND SON debuted on CBS as a mid-season replacement, and quickly caught hold with viewers, who were delighted by the gruff, slightly bawdy Fred Sanford and the cast of characters that populated the show, which was produced by Bud Yorkin and by Tandem Productions - producer Norman Lear's company that was also responsible for bringing "All In the Family" and "The Jeffersons" to the American public.

The unforgettable ensemble cast led by Foxx, along with a jaunty theme song by Quincy Jones, resulted in a smash hit that fit perfectly with the adult-oriented comedies that filled the airwaves in the early 1970s. SANFORD AND SON remained on the air until 1977, and was nominated for seven Emmy awards during its five-year run. The new DVD release marks the first time that the second season has been available as a single boxed set, and offers each episode in an uncut format that showcases the episodes as they were originally presented.

FROM AWARD-WINNING TELEVISION PRODUCER NORMAN LEAR COMES: ALL IN THE FAMILY - THE COMPLETE COLLECTION OF CLASSIC EPISODES FROM THE SECOND SEASON

Comes to DVD in a Three-Disc Set on February 4, 2003

Carroll O'connor, Jean Stapleton, Rob Reiner and Sally Struthers Star In This Groundbreaking Comedy

On February 4, 2003, Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment will release first time ever on DVD ALL IN THE FAMILY - THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON.

From one of television's pioneering creators, Norman Lear (One Day at a Time, Sanford and Son, Maude, The Jeffersons), comes one of the most beloved families in television history, the Bunkers, starring Carroll O'Connor as Archie, Jean Stapleton as Edith, Rob Reiner as Mike "Meathead" Stivic and Sally Struthers as Gloria. Television was changed forever the night of January 12, 1971, when the premiere episode of ALL IN THE FAMILY debuted.

The show's central character, Archie Bunker, is a working-class family man who holds bigoted, conservative views of the world. His viewpoints clash with nearly everyone with whom he comes into contact, especially his liberal son-in-law Mike Stivic (or, as Archie delights in calling him, "Meathead"). The two disagree about nearly everything: politics, minorities, sex, religion, economics, war, gun control, crime, free speech, women's rights, morality, philosophy and (so it seems) life in general. Archie's daughter, Gloria, often (but not always) sides with Mike, while his saintly wife, Edith, is the rock that holds the family together. Edith is as friendly, reserved, considerate and open-minded as Archie is bigoted, loud, rude and closed-minded; however, the love and faithfulness between them is undeniable.

During the course of its remarkable eight-year run, ALL IN THE FAMILY was nominated for an amazing 48 Emmy Awards, taking home 20 trophies with multiple wins for all of the lead characters as well as three wins for Outstanding Comedy Series. Numerous spin-off series resulted from ALL IN THE FAMILY including the very successful Maude and The Jeffersons.

Truffaut himself plays a director in this film about film making, and Jean-Pierre Léaud (The 400 Blows) appears as an inexperienced co-star opposite leading lady Jacqueline Bisset. Film critic and historian Leonard Maltin said of the film, "[It’s] one of the 1960’s most popular love stories thanks to an intelligent script, winning performances, innovative direction and camerawork." The film is a tender, visually exciting film of revitalizing love: a race car driver (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and a movie script girl (Aimée) share a romance filled with humor and truth, intertwined with the demands of career and parenthood. Much of the film is told wordlessly with action, or through hearing one of the couple’s thoughts as they go about their day. Visually enhanced with all-new digital transfers, this beloved and critically acclaimed film is packed with extras.

The film explores the costs of war, the perils of nuclear power and humankind’s need to harmonize with nature. Vincent Canby of The New York Times called the film "astonishingly beautiful! "A Kite for Quetzal"

The gang wants to surprise Quetzal by making a kite for "Kite Day" all by themselves. They make a list of the materials they'll need and set off in different directions to locate them. But when they all return with sticks and string, they decide they need a better plan.

"Prepare According to Instructions" Quetzal sends the gang to see one of the most special sights in all of Dragon Land: the dancing crystals at Crystal Cave! He gives them precise instructions for things they must collect along the way. In a rush to make it there before sundown, Emmy dismisses the need for a map and a first aid kit. After they complete the first two instructions (with the help of the first aid supplies that Zak and Wheezie grabbed just in case), they head for Turtle Rock.but they don't know how to get there. As Cassie gets ready to fly home to retrieve the map, Emmy begins to understand the importance of thinking ahead and suggests she bring back one more item as well.

"The Big Cake Mix-Up"

The kids and dragons prepare for the Annual Dragon Land Cake Baking Contest, for which the grand prize is a cookbook they plan to give to Quetzal. Their entry: a dragonberry carrot cake. They split up to find the ingredients, but all return with the same thing - eggs. Everyone agrees to plan better and try again, so each one volunteers to bring back a specific item on the picture recipe.

"A True-Blue Friend"

When the gang finishes finger painting, they try to wipe the colors off their skin. But they've accidentally used permanent paint.so the harder they rub, the more it spreads! Soon, they're a gallery of odd-colored masterpieces - Ord is one big orange, Cassie is a little lime, Max is a mess of blue, Zak and Wheezie are black and white, and Emmy is red all over. Quetzal gives them step-by-step directions that must be followed exactly to remove the paint.

"Light My Firebreath"

While practicing for the Dragon Land Firebreathing Celebration, Wheezie takes a big gulp of nectar from a nearby flower. Oh no! She's forgotten the warning that all dragoons know, Plump Gumps make your firebreath go out. So it's off to see Dr. Booboogone. Dr. Booboogone gives Wheezie three drawings of specific directions that must be followed in the right order to get her firebreath back.

The five adventures in DRAGON TALES: EASY AS 1, 2, 3 are linked by four songs, "Betcha" "Can," "Touch," "Pretend," and "Hum."

ELITE ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES ONE OF THE MOST NIGHTMARISH AND FRIGHTENING CULT HORROR FILMS OF RECENT YEARS-- "HORROR"

Available First Quarter 2003

It's been called "A Living Nightmare in Hell Caught on Film" (Cult Cuts Magazine) and "...an all-out assault on the senses..." (Firelight Shocks). These words speak of Dante Tomaselli's "HORROR", recipient of the New York City Horror Film Festival Award for Best Cinematography, and available on DVD from Elite Entertainment in the first quarter of 2003.

"Dante Tomaselli has quickly become a master of the horror film genre, and has already established a strong core of cult fans," said Vini Bancalari, President, Elite Entertainment. "We're excited to be working with Dante, and to have the opportunity to release one of the more recent horror films to already be considered a classic."

"I have a strong admiration for Elite's background in horror movies, as Vini is a true horror fan with a deep passion," said Tomaselli. "I was blown away with Elite's superior picture and sound presentation on two of my all-time favorite films, Night of the Living Dead and The Evil Dead, and I'm looking forward to the same integrity of quality put into HORROR."

"HORROR" merges two disturbing storylines into a visually arresting chiller. At the onset, a group of teens escapes from a drug rehab center, heading toward a supposed promise of salvation at the house of a psychopathic reverend. Once there, a bizarre and disturbing series of events unfold as the teens discover that the reverend and his wife have enslaved their daughter, through enforced drug addiction and psychic brainwashing. In this nightmarish universe, nothing is what it seems, setting up an ambiguous, darkly nihilistic-- yet intriguing--conclusion.

The film was written and directed by Tomaselli. The DVD will feature a variety of extras, including an audio commentary by Tomaselli; behind-the-scenes footage; still gallery; and an anamorphic widescreen transfer.

However, the police soon discover a horrific truth. The man's brain has been removed...and is simmering in a kitchen pot. The clues at the crime scene are vague and make it impossible to create a profile of the killer. A series of murders follow, with the victims' brain presented in the same manner. While the investigators continue to search for a malicious criminal, it slowly becomes apparent that a supernatural force may have been the single cause of this bizarre chain of deaths.

WARNER HOME VIDEO AND PBS HOME VIDEO INVITE YOU TO CELEBRATE AMERICA WITH TWO BRILLIANT DOCUMENTARIES ANSEL ADAMS AND THE DONNER PARTY AVAILABLE ON DVD JANUARY 14, 2003

Collection Features Outstanding Offerings from Acclaimed Filmmakers Ric Burns and Ken Burns

On January 14, Warner Home Video (WHV) and PBS Home Video invite viewers to celebrate America through the eyes of acclaimed photographer Ansel Adams in a new documentary from Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Ric Burns. On the same day, WHV and PBS offer Ric Burns's THE DONNER PARTY, called "... one of the most powerful documentaries you will ever see" by the Chicago Tribune. ANSEL ADAMS and THE DONNER PARTY will each be available on DVD for $19.98 SRP and on VHS for $14.95 SRP.

Written, directed and produced by Ric Burns and timed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ansel Adams's birth, ANSEL ADAMS is an elegant, moving and lyrical portrait of one of the most eloquent and quintessentially American photographers. At the heart of the film are the themes that absorbed Adams throughout his career: the beauty and fragility of "the American earth," the inseparable bond between man and nature and the moral obligations that the present owes to the future. ANSEL ADAMS was co-produced by the Sierra Club and attracted 5 million broadcast viewers upon its initial airing on PBS.

THE DONNER PARTY excursion into the high Sierra Nevadas during the winter of 1946 became a terrifying tale of misery, death, madness and cannibalism. Through family journals and newspaper accounts (read by a cast of contemporary actors including Timothy Hutton and Amy Madigan) and interviews with historians and descendants of the party, Ric Burns recreates the Donner Party's now legendary journey. Over 8 million viewers watched THE DONNER PARTY when it was originally aired on PBS.

NISSAN SHIFTS INTO ENTERTAINMENT WITH ITS FIRST SHORT FILM, "THE RUN"

Award-Winning Nissan 350Z Stars in Adrenaline-Filled Film by Two-Time Academy Award*-Winner John Bruno

The Nissan Division of Nissan North America, Inc., (NNA) today announced plans to distribute its first short film, "THE RUN," available to consumers on DVD beginning late January 2003 at Nissan dealers and online at Z.com. A two-minute trailer featuring some of the most exhilarating scenes from the film is currently playing on more than 5,500 screens at 450 theaters across the U.S. and is also available for viewing at Z.com.

The film was produced by Nissan and directed by two-time Academy Award*- winner John Bruno ("True Lies," "The Abyss" and "Terminator 2"), and captures the star of the film, a 2003 350Z Track Model, being piloted by noted stuntman Jimmy Roberts on a six-and-a-half-minute run through the narrow, slick cobblestone streets of Prague in the Czech Republic at speeds of up to 123 mph. "THE RUN" is a unique short-film that delivers only the pure, visceral experience of a Z slicing through the historic city and leaves out the dramatic storylines, over-the-top stunts and high-tech production techniques found in other corporate-sponsored films.

"'THE RUN' is an adrenaline-filled example of Nissan's commitment to reach consumers in a dramatic and memorable way," said Steve Wilhite, vice president of marketing at Nissan. "As a showcase for the Z in motion, 'THE RUN' complements various executions of the Z advertising launch campaign that features still photography exclusively. Just as important, the film demonstrates Nissan's ability to build original products and market them in imaginative ways with an edgy flare."

Utilizing the DVD format, "THE RUN" offers exciting bonus features including:

The second in a series of innovative marketing initiatives to support the return of the Z, "THE RUN" follows Nissan's unprecedented "Z Tour" - a series of more than 20 impromptu, free concerts by top name entertainment artists across the U.S. this fall. Supported by viral marketing and word-of-mouth, the "Z Tour" philosophy brought major acts like Pink, 311, Puddle of Mudd, Sheryl Crow and No Doubt, to unexpected places and carried the message that Nissan can deliver the unexpected.

Nissan partnered with The Designory based in Long Beach, California and Creative Domain based in Hollywood, California to produce "THE RUN."
