Pilot: Written by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar; Directed by: David Nutter. Clark Kent, who arrived from the planet Krypton in a meteor shower, grows into a teenager, raised by his adoptive parents, Jonathan and Martha, the only people who know his origin. Clark's best friends are classmates Pete Ross, Chloe Sullivan and Lana Lang, a popular cheerleader who doesn't know that Clark loves her. Lana dates Smallville High School's star football quarterback, Whitney Fordman. When Clark makes a lifesaving rescue of Lex Luthor, head of Smallville Fertilizer Plant No. 3, Lex and Clark forge an unlikely friendship. Meanwhile, after emerging from a 12-year coma, Jeremy Creek (Adrian Mcmorran), who was lashed to a stake as a prank when the shower hit and now has the power to electrify things, seeks revenge on Smallville High School until Clark foils him.
Metamorphosis: Written by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar; Directed by: Michael Watkins and Philip Sgriccia. Clark discovers that a fellow high school student, Greg Arkin (Chad E. Donella), has been attacked by Kryptonite-affected bugs. Greg has taken on the "eat, molt, mate, die" life cycle of an insect--with Lana as his prey. Clark must rush to save her without revealing his superpowers. Meanwhile, Lex possesses Lana's Kryptonite necklace and ponders what to do with the strange stone.
Hothead: Written by Greg Walker; Directed by: Greg Beeman. Clark and Lex defy their respective fathers. Clark joins the football team, against Jonathan's wishes, ultimately discovering that the coach, Walt Arnold (Dan Lauria), has been altered by Kryptonite and is using fire-starting abilities to hurt anyone who might prevent him from winning. Meanwhile, Lex battles his own father, Lionel Luthor (recurring guest star John Glover), for control of LuthorCorp.
X-Ray: Written by Mark Verheiden; Directed by James Frawley. Clark reels from his first flashes of x-ray vision. His shock is compounded when he witnesses a bank robbery, apparently by his friend, Lex. Unsure of how to control this new power, Clark nonetheless puts it to use when a Smallville teen who has developed shape-shifting abilities threatens Lana.
Cool: Written by Michael Green; Directed by: Jim Contner. Clark has a chance to share a night out on the town with Lana, thanks to Lex's matchmaking, but the evening is interrupted when Clark faces an icy enemy, Sean Kelvin (Michael Coristine). Sean is an aggressive flirt who suffers from a Kryptonite-induced case of permanent hypothermia and has to feed off of others' body heat to survive--starting with Chloe.
Hourglass: Written by Doris Egan; Directed by Chris Long. Clark is wracked by haunting visions when he meets an old woman, Cassandra Carpenter (Jackie Burroughs), who can see the future. Lex schemes to use Cassandra's gift to glimpse his own destiny and learn more about Clark's secret. Meanwhile, a released serial killer, Harry Bollston (George Murdock), who is now a bitter old man in a nursing home, discovers a "fountain of youth" and reverts to a teenager. He then seeks revenge on the descendants of jurors who put him in jail decades ago.
Craving: Written by Michael Green; Directed by: Philip Sgriccia. Clark must save Pete from being literally devoured by a female classmate, Jodi Melville (Amy Adams), whose diet of Kryptonite-affected vegetables causes her to shed weight faster than she can handle, forcing her to satisfy her ravenous hunger by gorging on any available food source. Meanwhile, Lex gets one step closer to the truth about Clark after funding a study on the green meteor fragments.
Jitters: Written by Cherie Bennett & Jeff Gottesfeld; Directed by Michael Watkins. Clark and Lex team up to rescue members of Clark's high school class after a janitor, Earl Jenkins (Tony Todd), takes them hostage in LuthorCorp's Smallville Fertilizer Plant No. 3. Jenkins claims his deadly "jitters" were caused by a mysterious contaminant, and he threatens to kill everyone unless he is shown a secret sublevel--which Lionel Luthor (recurring guest star John Glover) denies ever existed.
Rogue: Written by Mark Verheiden; Directed by David Carson. Clark's secret identity is jeopardized when a corrupt policeman, Sam Phelan (Cameron Dye), witnesses Clark using his superhuman powers and coerces him into joining forces. However, when Clark double-crosses the cop, he is not prepared to deal with the consequences for him and his family. Meanwhile, Lex receives an intriguing proposal from his sexy British ex-girlfriend, Victoria Hardwick (recurring guest star Kelly Brook).
Shimmer: Written by Michael Green & Mark Verheiden; Directed by D.J. Caruso. A teenage girl, Amy Palmer (Azura Skye ), lets her obsession with Lex become life threatening as attacks in the Luthor mansion pit Clark against an invisible enemy. Meanwhile, Clark is thrilled when Lana seeks his companionship after Whitney inexplicably rebuffs her.
Hug: Written by Doris Egan; Directed by Chris Long. Clark is amazed when a pesticide magnate, Bob Rickman (Rick Peters), who has enhanced powers of persuasion due to the meteor fragments, somehow convinces Jonathan to sell the family farm to make way for a new plant. Clark teams with a local hermit, Kyle Tippet (Gregory Sporleder), whose mysterious past holds the secret to saving the town.
Leech: Written by Tim Schlattmann; Directed by Greg Beeman. When Clark rescues his classmate, Eric Summers (Shawn Ashmore), from harm during an electrical storm, they are both struck by lightning--resulting in all of Clark's superpowers being transferred to Eric. While Eric relishes his new life as "Superboy," he soon begins to abuse his new powers. Clark's happiness at finally being a "normal" teenager is tempered by his growing concern for the town's safety. Meanwhile, Lex confronts Clark, believing that he has undeniable proof of Clark's superpowers.
Kinetic: Written by Philip Levens; Directed by Robert Singer. Clark and Lex are mystified when the Luthor mansion is robbed by burglars who seem to have the ability to walk through walls. Lex's curiosity becomes desperation when he discovers that the thieves have stolen evidence of his secret project. Clark wonders if his father's suspicions that Lex is deceitful have been correct.
Zero: Teleplay by Mark Verheiden; Story by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar; Directed by Michael Katleman. Lex faces the consequences of a scandal from his past in Metropolis when an old enemy comes to Smallville intent on destroying Lex's life, putting Clark and Lana in danger. While protecting Lex, Clark must also prevent Chloe from investigating the mystery of Clark's adoption.
Nicodemus: Teleplay by Michael Green; Story by Greg Walker; Directed by James Marshall. Clark must solve the riddle of the mysterious Nicodemus flower and Lex's suspicious involvement with it. The plant infects the residents of Smallville, removing their inhibitions. Jonathan becomes lazy, Lana tries to seduce Clark and Pete attempts to kill Lex. The victims then go into a deadly coma.
Stray: Written by Philip Levens; Directed by Paul Shapiro. After Martha accidentally hits a young boy with her car, the Kents take him in until they can locate his parents. They are unaware that the boy can read minds and has discovered the hidden thoughts of Lex, Lana, Jonathan and Martha, putting Clark's secret in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Lex must decide if he wants to accept a job offer from his father, Lionel (recurring guest star John Glover), which would entail moving back to Metropolis.
Reaper: Written by Cameron Litvack; Directed by: Terrence O'Hara. Clark must stop a meteorite-infected man, Tyler Randall (Reynaldo Rosales), who seeks to relieve the suffering of the elderly and sick by turning them into ashes--with Whitney's ailing father his potential next victim. Meanwhile, Lex becomes furious after his father, Lionel (recurring guest star John Glover), sends an investigator to scrutinize LuthorCorp's financial records, revealing Lex's secret investigation into Clark and his parents.
Drone: Written by Michael Green & Philip Levens; Directed by Michael Katleman. Clark seeks election as class president, hoping for the opportunity to be a normal kid. However, when two of his opponents are attacked by a swarm of bees, Clark suspects that one of the other candidates is eliminating the competition--and Clark might be next on the list.
Crush: Written by Philip Levens & Alfred Gough & Miles Millar; Directed by James Marshall. Clark confronts an unexpected foe when a talented art student, Justin Gaines (Adam Brody), returns to school after being hit by a car. The accident robbed Justin of the use of his hands--but it left him with the gift of telekinesis, and he uses the power for revenge against those he considers responsible for his condition. Meanwhile, after observing Clark with Chloe, Lana becomes jealous and begins to question her relationship with Whitney.
Obscura: Teleplay by Michael Green & Mark Verheiden; Story by Greg Walker; Directed by Terrence O'Hara. After witnessing an explosion near some meteor fragments, Lana gains the ability to see through other people's eyes. Clark and Lana race to find Chloe after Lana "watches" Chloe being kidnapped and buried alive. Meanwhile, Lex discovers evidence that a spaceship landed in Smallville during the meteor shower.
Tempest: Teleplay by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar; Story by:Philip Levens; Directed by Greg Beeman. As a massive tornado approaches the unsuspecting Smallville, Clark finds a missing piece of the spaceship that carried him to Earth. The part activates the disabled craft, giving Clark the first clue as to where he came from. Meanwhile, Lex experiences two disturbing events: His father, Lionel (recurring guest star John Glover), closes the plant and orders Lex to return to Metropolis, and the deceitful reporter Lex hired to spy on the Kents discovers Clark's superhuman abilities and the spaceship hidden in the storm cellar. NATIONAL LAMPOON’S ANIMAL HOUSE DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION EDITION DVD AVAILABLE AUGUST 26, 2003
Irreverent Campus Comedy Classic Marks 25th Anniversary with Original Bonus Segment Created by Filmmaker John Landis
It's a class reunion of epic proportions for the ultimate campus comedy that spawned a million toga parties and continues to inspire new generations of party animals. Universal Studios Home Video will release
NATIONAL LAMPOON’S ANIMAL HOUSE DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION EDITION DVD celebrating the 25th anniversary of the hugely popular film on August 26, 2003 for a $19.98 suggested retail price. Pre-order close is July 22.A House Full of Hilarious Bonus Features including an Original Segment directed by John Landis
Special bonus features on the DVD will include an exclusive original bonus segment directed and produced by filmmaker John Landis and co-produced by Matty Simmons. In the hilarious "Where Are They Now?" segment, the film's memorable cast is interviewed in character 25 years later. The original cast members in the segment include Kevin Bacon, Tim Matheson, James Widdoes, Bruce McGill, James Daughton, Karen Allen, DeWayne Jessie and Stephen Furst. Also included are outrageous pop-up facts and trivia and a Greek Game.
Comedians of Our Day
Animal House marked director John Landis' (The Blues Brothers, Trading Places, An American Werewolf in London) first breakthrough feature film in 1978, and the ultimate "slob comedy" also marked the screenplay debuts of Harold Ramis and Douglas Kenney (Caddyshack) and Chris Miller, all three of whom were nominated for a Writers Guild Award.
The film also featured the inspired casting of John Belushi (of the original Saturday Night Live, The Blues Brothers) as the beer-swilling Bluto. Belushi's performance in Animal House set a standard for hilarity against which other collegiate comedies will always be measured. Tim Matheson (VP John Hoynes in The West Wing) made a name for himself as oversexed frat brother Eric ("Otter") Stratton; as did Stephen Furst (TV's Delta House series based on the film) as a corpulent nerd called Flounder. The film not only scored an A+ at the box office, but its evergreen crude humor defined cinema comedy for decades, and introduced now-classic phrases such as "food fight," "toga party" and "road trip" into the campus lexicon. The immortal party soundtrack featured songs by Stephen Bishop and original music by legendary composer Elmer Bernstein (Far From Heaven), and is best remembered for its rendition of Louie Louie and a live performance of Shout.
Other top-notch cast members contending with hijinks at the disreputable Delta House fraternity included John Vernon, best remembered as Faber's heartless authority figure Dean Vernon Wormer, and Peter Riegert (Crossing Delancey), who played the debauched Boon. Prolific Academy Award®-nominee Donald Sutherland (M*A*S*H, Ordinary People, The Italian Job) appeared as a randy, pot-smoking professor and Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark) played Boon's sensible but deceptive girlfriend Katy. Tom Hulce (the Oscar-nominated Mozart in Amadeus) played Delta's Larry Kroger, and Kevin Bacon made his film debut as pledge Chip Diller of the rival Omega House. Mark Metcalf appeared as Omega's bullying Doug Neidermeyer; Verna Bloom as Wormer's lush-and lusty-wife; Bruce McGill as Delta's hard-boiled D-Day; and Cesare Danova (Mean Streets, Viva Las Vegas) as Mayor Carmine DePasto.
Synopsis -
NATIONAL LAMPOON’S ANIMAL HOUSE DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION EDITIONIn this raucous lampoon of college life, pledge week on fraternity row at buttoned-down Faber College finds the disreputable Delta House reeking with alcohol and dirty socks, and its wisecracking frat brothers vowing to party as hard and as often as possible. As hopeful freshmen Chip Diller (Kevin Bacon), Kent Dorfman (Stephen Furst) and Larry Kroger (Tom Hulce) vie for the fraternities, Delta's "Bluto" Blutarsky (John Belushi) tries to top his beer-drinking record, and skirt-chasing pledge chairman Eric "Otter" Stratton (Tim Matheson) plots to get the dean's wife into bed. Otter's friend Boon (Peter Riegert) and his girlfriend Katy (Karen Allen) bring Larry to a pot party thrown by bored English professor Dave Jennings (Donald Sutherland), while Otter helps Dorfman by terrorizing the entire troop of ROTC cadets at rival Omega House. Dean Wormer (John Vernon), fed up with Delta's embarrassing pranks, schemes with other fraternities to throw the "Animal House" off campus, once and for all. As the war between the dean and the men of Delta escalates, Otter and his cronies find they are also in danger of flunking out. Even leaving a dead horse in Dean Wormer's office is not enough get the man to capitulate. Delta's loud, debaucherous, alcohol-infused toga party, featuring the rousing sounds of Otis Day and the Knights, is all the dean needs to revoke the frat's charter. But just as the dean declares victory, Bluto rallies the Delta troops and the final battle erupts in the midst of one of Faber's most prestigious and time-honored traditions-the homecoming parade.

LEVITY-- ONE OF THE MOST TOUCHING, INSPIRING AND THOUGHT-PROVOKING FILMS OF THE YEAR! DEBUTING ON DVD AUGUST 26
Starring Academy Award® Winners Billy Bob Thornton and Academy Award® Winner Holly Hunter, Golden Globe Winner Morgan Freeman and Kirsten Dunst
A powerful and reverent story of one man's search for redemption and forgiveness, LEVITY stars Academy Award® winners Billy Bob Thornton (Sling Blade, Monster's Ball), and Holly Hunter (The Piano, The Firm), Golden Globe winner Morgan Freeman (The Shawshank Redemption, Dreamcatcher) and Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man, The Cat's Meow). Premiering on DVD and videocassette from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment on August 26, LEVITY is the gripping, emotionally-charged and "expertly crafted parable" (Los Angeles Times) of a paroled murderer's search to reconcile a single, spontaneous moment in his past that changed the course of his life forever.
Thornton stars as convicted murderer Manual Jordan who finds himself a free man when he is unexpectedly released from prison after serving a 22-year sentence for killing a store clerk in a failed robbery attempt. Haunted by his past after two decades of staring at his victim's face on a newspaper clipping in his cell and now seemingly lost in the present, Manual is drawn back to his old neighborhood. There, he encounters three people that hold the key to his redemption: a self-destructive young woman (Dunst), an enigmatic inner-city minister (Freeman) and the older sister (Hunter) of the boy he killed. The sins of the past got him where he is today - but something magical is about to take him the rest of the way home!
Premiering at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival, LEVITY is written and directed by Ed Solomon and produced by Richard N. Gladstein, Adam Merims and Ed Solomon.

Trapped by a violent rainstorm, ten travelers are forced to seek refuge at a strange desert motel. They soon realize they've found anything but shelter. There is a killer among them and, one by one, they are brutally murdered. As the storm rages on and the corpses pile up, the survivors begin to turn on one another, and as accusations fly, one things becomes clear: Each of them was mysteriously drawn to the motel, not by accident or circumstance, but by forces beyond imagination. So they must fight to uncover the identity of the killer, before they check out ... permanently!

TEMPE LABEL DISBANDS FROM FULL MOON; INKS NATIONAL DISTRIBUTION DEAL
Tempe Entertainment, the eighteen year old indie production company responsible for such cult classics as THE DEAD NEXT DOOR, OZONE and POLYMORPH, have parted ways with Charles Band's Shadow Entertainment (formerly Full Moon). At the conclusion of last fall's DEADLY STINGERS (their last production together which debuts from Fox Home Video later this year), Tempe president J.R. Bookwalter cut ties with the creators of the PUPPET MASTER series after eleven feature films which included the critically-acclaimed WITCHOUSE 2: BLOOD COVEN & WITCHOUSE 3: DEMON FIRE and the controversial William Shatner vehicle GROOM LAKE.
Moving forward to produce and promote their lines of previous cult favorites and new horror, science-fiction and comedy projects, Tempe has signed a five-year exclusive deal with Ventura Distribution. First out of the gate are re-releases of their rave-reviewed Special Editions for the dark comedy TOWNIES (May 27, $19.99 SRP) as well as WITCHOUSE 3: DEMON FIRE and the 1989 splatter classic SKINNED ALIVE (June 10, both reduced to $14.99 SRP) starring Scott Spiegel, the writer/director of FROM DUSK 'TIL DAWN 2.
On August 12, 2003 the label will debut its new Splatter Rampage label dedicated to in-your-face horror-comedy with the double feature DVD of MULVA: ZOMBIE ASS KICKER! & FILTHY MCNASTY, and also the LORD OF THE RINGS parody QUEST FOR THE EGG SALAD. Both $9.99 SRP movies are directed by Chris Seaver and feature cameos from Troma founder Lloyd Kaufman and scream queens Debbie Rochon and Tina Krause.
Joining the Special Edition ranks on August 19, 2003 is the 1997 thriller BLOODLETTING ($19.99 SRP), the tale of two serial killers in love which has been praised as "NATURAL BORN KILLERS done right." The disc includes remastered picture and 5.1 sound plus an abundance of extras which include a commentary from the director and stars, a lengthy making-of featurette, the original short film version and much more.
In a surprising but innovative move, Tempe will only release the films on DVD, declaring VHS to be "dead." Tempe's Bookwalter says his company plans to release remastered editions of their most popular (and infamous) features over the next several months, while production begins on a new slate of features set for release in 2004.
