AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS - This celebrated Best Picture Academy Award®-winning 1956 blockbuster finally makes its DVD debut after years atop the most requested DVD wish lists, with the complete and uncut 182 minute widescreen version. Boasting an international crew of nearly 2600, a 44-member all-star cast headed by David Niven; Cantinflas, the famous Mexican comedic actor; Shirley MacLaine and 68,894 extras, this film launched the big-budget, big special effects era in Hollywood.

While producing AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS Mike Todd invented the term "cameo" calling them "gems etched in celluloid by stars," and then enticed Frank Sinatra, Marlene Dietrich, Noel Coward, Peter Lorre, Buster Keaton, Red Skelton, among others, to enhance his film by doing tiny roles. He also convinced newscaster Edward R. Murrow to narrate the prologue.

Adapted from the Jules Verne novel about a Victorian Englishman who bets that with the new steamships and railways he can actually travel "AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS," the film premiered with one of the most massive PR campaigns in movie history, scoring record box-office numbers and a 16-month run that kept many theaters completely sold out for weeks. Award-winning British actor David Jason stars as the unconventional policeman, Detective Inspector Jack Frost, in A TOUCH OF FROST SEASON 1 to be released by MPI Home Video on DVD and VHS on March 30, 2004. The set includes 2 DVDs or 3 VHS tapes for five hours of entertainment. Jason has been honored numerous times by The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) for his portrayal of Jack Frost. He has earned awards for Best Male Performer (1993), Most Popular Actor (1997) and Best TV Cop Programme (1997).

This enormously popular crime drama first aired in the U.K. in 1992. The series continues to draw millions of viewers, as new episodes are produced each year. A TOUCH OF FROST SEASON 1 includes the following programs: "Care and Protection," "Not with Kindness," and "Conclusions."

Set in the dreary, mundane town of Denton near Bristol in southern England, Frost prefers solving crime to the monotony of police paperwork. Sloppy, disorganized and cantankerous, he often clashes with his commander, Superintendent Norman "Horn-rimmed Harry" Mullett. A champion for the common man, Frost approaches each case with his characteristic dry wit and a sense of moral justice.

In "Care and Protection," Frost investigates a missing child case while his terminally ill wife languishes in bed. While searching for the missing girl, a chance digging turns up a 30 year-old skeleton chained to a strongbox. A former bank employee whose past links him to the strongbox is murdered and Frost must find his killer.

"Not with Kindness" features Frost grieving for his recently deceased wife while playing host to her intolerable sister from the States who comes to Denton for the funeral. Frost goes on the trail of a missing teenager. Meanwhile, a victim of threatening phone calls wakes in the middle of the night to find her home engulfed in flames by a suspicious fire that claims the life of her husband.

In "Conclusions" an elderly man is killed in a hit-and-run that involves a prominent local official's son. A casino is robbed of the night's takings. An armed and dangerous fugitive takes a pair of hostages and Frost must decide whether to put himself in their place.

Here's adventure! Here's romance! Here's O. Henry's famous Robin Hood of the Old West - The Cisco Kid!

THE CISCO KID COLLECTION 1, the classic Western from the 1950's is back and will be released on both DVD and VHS on March 30, 2004. A Spanish audio track is included on the DVD set. The Cisco Kid, which has been immortalized on radio and TV, in films and in comic books, ran from 1950-1956. The series starred Duncan Renaldo as The Cisco Kid and Leo Carrillo as his sidekick and comic foil, Pancho Gonzales. The pair appeared in 156 episodes during the show's run.

THE CISCO KID COLLECTION 1 includes 20 episodes on 4 DVDs or 5 VHS tapes for more than 8 hours of entertainment. Defining an era known as the 'Golden Age of Television,' THE CISCO KID is part of an unforgettable collection of Westerns that were staples of nightly viewing fare. Remarkably, the series was filmed in color, long before many Americans even owned a color television set.

The Cisco Kid character was based on the 1907 short story The Caballero's Way, written by O. Henry. The original Cisco was not Hispanic, but Anglo, and considered a ruthless desperado who "...killed for the love of it." In O. Henry's story, as in the first Cisco movies, the Kid was a loner. Reportedly, Renaldo encouraged producers to transform the TV Cisco into a gentler character with a wry sense of humor. He also suggested that his comedic sidekick Pancho, be modeled after Sancho Panza, a character from the classic novel Don Quixote.

THE CISCO KID COLLECTION 1 will be available to local retailers on March 30, 2004. Every possible effort has been made to produce the highest quality DVD and VHS release. Due to the age of the original elements, some audio and video imperfections may be experienced.

The quaint town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut houses one of The WB's top-ranked shows, GILMORE GIRLS, where Lorelai and Rory Gilmore have a mother and daughter bond that others only dream about.  On May 4, 2004 Warner Home Video (WHV) proudly presents the DVD debut of the acclaimed series that TV Guide calls “The WB’s finest hour” with GILMORE GIRLS: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON.  Reacquaint yourselves with television’s most appealing mother-daughter duo in this collectible six-disc DVD set, which contains all 21 episodes from the first season including the pilot episode, and is priced to own at $59.98 SRP.

People often mistake Independence Inn’s manager, headstrong single mom Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her equally willful teenage daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel) for sisters.  Lorelai and Rory cope with the same emotional ups and downs, including Lorelai’s overbearing, old-money parents and the joys and frustrations of the male gender.  But when Rory’s attention turns from dreams of private school and Harvard to thoughts of boys and adolescent self-reliance, single mom Lorelai begins noticing more of her own rebellious youth—only 16 years ago—in Rory.  This heartfelt, humorous drama appeals to young and old alike with its blend of traditional family issues and hip, contemporary attitude.

GILMORE GIRLS has created a loyal female following for The WB, prompting the network to recently pick up the series for another full season,” said Christine Martinez, WHV Vice President, Non-Theatrical Franchise Marketing.  “GILMORE GIRLS: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON DVD release is a perfect Mother’s Day gift and is timed to leverage the excitement leading into the May series finale of the current season.  The television shows to DVD trend has become a phenomenon and WHV plans to continue releasing these fan-favorites on DVD.”

Since its network debut, GILMORE GIRLS has averaged 4.5 million viewers overall and is The WB's #1 program in its timeslot among females 12-24, key demographics for The WB.

GILMORE GIRLS has been honored with an AFI Award and two Viewers for Quality Television Awards, and it was named New Program of the Year by the Television Critics Association.  Series star Lauren Graham (“Townies,” “NewsRadio,” and “Bad Santa”) was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series and received two consecutive nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series from the Screen Actors Guild.  Graham has also won two Family Television Awards.  In addition, series star Alexis Bledel (“Tuck Everlasting”) has won a Young Artist Award and a Family Television Award.  The series, GILMORE GIRLS, won a Family Television Award for New Series and was named Best Family TV Drama Series by the Young Artist Awards, which also honored series star Keiko Agena in the supporting young actress category.

GILMORE GIRLS is the first series to make it to air supported by the Family Friendly Forum’s Script Development Fund.  An initiative between some of the nation’s top advertisers and The WB, the program is intended to offer a greater array of compelling family programming on network television.  The strong, loving, mother-daughter relationship portrayed in GILMORE GIRLS reflects the growing reality of this new type of American family.

THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES (1939) is the second in the series of the 14 Sherlock Holmes movies that were made from 1939 - 1946. The film stars Basil Rathbone as the legendary Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. John H. Watson. THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES will be released by MPI Home Video on both DVD and VHS on Tuesday, April 27, 2004.

THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES was based on a play by William Gillette entitled, "Sherlock Holmes." Set in 1890's London (future films would be set in modern times), the movie opens in a courtroom where a jury has just acquitted Professor Moriarty, the 'Napoleon of Crime' (George Zucco) of murder. Holmes bursts into the courtroom with new evidence to prove he's lying, but it's too late. Later, Moriarty tells Holmes he's about to commit the crime of the century. Meanwhile, the Lord Chamberlain of the Tower of London visits Baker Street with an anonymous note that states the Star of Delhi, a famed emerald belonging to the Crown Jewels, will be stolen upon its arrival in England from India. He asks Holmes' help in guarding the precious gem. Their meeting is soon interrupted by a terrified young woman, Miss Ann Brandon (Ida Lupino), who announces that her brother has received a mysterious death threat - a drawing of an albatross hung around a man's neck. The threat includes an ominous date. She tells Holmes her father was murdered ten years earlier after receiving a similar drawing. With a possible jewel theft and potential murder on their hands, Holmes and Watson split up to protect both Miss Brandon and save the Star of Delhi, all the while suspecting that Moriarty is at the center of both cases.

The movie includes some surprises, such as Basil Rathbone's clever disguise as a cockney singer who performs ("I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside") at a garden party attended by Miss Brandon. In addition, Ms. Lupino, who had appeared in several films prior to THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES, would go on to have a distinguished Hollywood acting career and would also become one of the first female directors.

The condition of THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES is excellent. The quality exceeds that of previously released versions or television airings. DVD extras for THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES include an audio commentary by Richard Valley, editor of Scarlet Street magazine, a photo gallery, movie trailers and production notes.

The highly popular star of some of television's most-beloved and long-running series (Taxi, Who's The Boss), Tony Danza brings his much loved charisma & charm to the big screen in this lighthearted spoof of every father's nightmare, SHE’S OUT OF CONTROL, debuting on DVD April 13, 2004.

Doug Simpson (Tony Danza) is a hip radio station exec and the relatively stable single father of two daughters. But when Doug returns home from a business trip, he finds his fiancée (Catherine Hicks) has turned his life upside down by transforming his eldest daughter Katie (Ami Dolenz) from an awkward adolescent to an absolute knockout. Faced with the realization that his suddenly-sensational daughter is the dream date of every high school male old enough to have a learner's permit, Doug does his best to rain on Katie's endless parade of punkers, preppies and precocious would-be suitors (including a pre-"Friends" Matthew Perry). Will this overprotective, overzealous dad ever find a place in his "little girl's" heart again?

Directed by Stan Dragotti (Mr. Mom) and co-starring Catherine Hicks (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home), Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride), Ami Dolenz (daughter of Monkee Micky), and a very young Matthew Perry (Friends), SHE’S OUT OF CONTROL is a highly enjoyable star vehicle that showcases the multiple talents of the irrepressible Tony Danza. One of America's favorite performers, Danza, a long established star of television (Family Law), stage (The Iceman Cometh), screen (Angels in the Outfield) and records (The House I Live In), will host his own syndicated TV talk show, "The Tony Danza Show," in Fall 2004.
